In 2015, the Festival Olhares do Mediterrâneo organized several activities.
Besides the 2nd edition of Olhares do Mediterrâneo – Cinema no Feminino, we’ve put together Olhares de Espanha together with Instituto Cervantes and the Spanish Embassy: for four Mondays in a row in the month of March we’ve presented a showcase of what is being made in Spain, cinemawise. Two weeks after the Festival we were invited as special guests to the session #216 of Shortcutz.
We’ve grown from the 1st to the 2nd edition of the Festival. We were kindly sponsored by Maria João Seixas and we’ve introduced a call and a competition. We’ve received ca. 200 entries from 30 different countries.
Olhares do Mediterrâneo – Cinema no Feminino took place in Lisbon for the first time in June 2014. It was very well received by the public and the media. For three days, the Cinema São Jorge in Lisbon was the global stage of a celebration of the cultural diversity of the Mediterranean.
