Lilas e Amber, duas raparigas de origem vietnamita que foram adoptadas e educadas em França, regressam ao Vietname. Lilas está eufórica e espera encontrar lá uma parte de si mesma. Por isso, quer muito visitar o orfanato de onde saíram. A visita é mais complicada e menos gratificante do que pensava, mas numa sequência de acontecimentos percebe que, mesmo que não tenha raízes, tem uma irmã com quem poderá contar sempre.
Lilas and Amber, two girls of Vietnamese origin who were adopted and educated in France, go back to Vietnam. Lilas is euphoric and hopes she will find a part of herself there. That’s why she really wants to visit the orphanage they came from. The visit turns out to be more complicated and less rewarding than she thought, but after a sequence of events she realises that even though she has no roots, she has a sister who will always be there for her.
