Breathing cinema from the Mediterranean!

It is gratifying and very challenging to create a diverse and representative program of the approximately four hundred films we received, of varying genres and duration. It was also with great pleasure that we saw a broader interest for our festival by filmmakers and distributors in the Mediterranean basin, which reflects a confidence in a programming space that we intend to be plural and committed.

It was fascinating to observe the kind of concerns and intentions expressed in the works that were proposed to us. We encountered transverse themes such as human rights, their abuses and their defense; concerns about the aging of the population, how to deal with parents who increasingly become our children; the restlessness of youth, first kisses, first longings; the children and their little big world, how to get to school, the ephemeral state of friendships; the search for practices and knowledge that root us in a place; houses, what they represent, what their soul is, what they evoke in us…

GENERAL COMPETITION
