Em 1969, o artista Rafael Ruiz Balerdi realizou a curta de animação “Homenaje a Tarzán” (“Homenagem a Tarzan”), que terminou com um enigmático “Continua”. Hunting é a nossa continuação. Em Hunting, aceitamos a estética de Balerdi, mas afastamo-nos da perspectiva colonial dos filmes que inspiraram esse trabalho, para retratar a dureza da nossa própria realidade: assédio, violência e destruição.
In 1969, the artist Rafael Ruiz Balerdi made a short animated film “Homenaje a Tarzán” (“Homage to Tarzan”), which ended with an enigmatic ‘to be continued’. “Hunting” is the continuation of this film. “Hunting” accepts Balerdi’s aesthetics but steps away from the colonial perspective of the films that inspired that work to depict the harshness of our own reality: harassment, violence and destruction.
