After having achieved her cinema studies, earning graduate degrees from the directing department at the ESRA film school (Paris, 2010), Liana Kassir chooses to engage in independent production and direction. The documentary VERTICAL VILLAGE is her first personal project since leaving school, where she had already made two short films in 2009 and 2010: LE DEVELOPPEUR, a silent film shot in 16 mm and 8 mm and L’ANNEE DERNIERE A BAGDAD a fictional documentary shot in HD Cam, 5D Mark II and Super 8.

She is working on a feature film in Beirut.
