El Ghorba, exílio em argelino, é onde os homens vão, mas raramente as mulheres. Um local incerto, no interior, longe da terra, longe da mãe também, um fogo que arde aqui e ali, ao longo de gerações. El Ghorba tem o outro lado da medalha, o das mulheres que ficam e esperam, ao longo de gerações, em ambos os lados. Esta história é a das mulheres da minha família, mantidas tempo demais no silêncio, um eco da minha própria história. Men go to El Ghorba, exile in Algerian, but women rarely. An uncertain place of generational pain, inland, far from home and the mother. El Ghorba represents two sides of the same coin, that of the women who remain and wait from generation to generation on both sides. This is the story of the women from the director’s family who were kept silent for too long. It is an echo of her personal history.
