In this edition, we have changed the format of the Festival and created a special, separate place for issues which in our opinion deserve to be discussed more extensively. Thus, as an enhancement of a concern and an interest that has been manifest since the 1st edition of the Festival, both in films and in debates, Travessias [Crossings] is born. This is a multifaceted space, combining film screenings with a series of activities related to the issues of refugees and forced migration. All the activities will be indicated with the tab Travessias
Among its activities, and besides the films, Travessias also features a photography exhibition and the very special hosting of SOS Méditerranée, an NGO dedicated to try to prevent people from drowning in this sea which is simultaneously so generous and so dangerous. The films presented in Travessias will compete for its namesake prize, an initiative that aims to draw attention to the urgent need to adopt a position as part of a future solution to this problem.
We all have yet to navigate many waves before we might reach a safe] harbour…
All the activities are tagged with Travessias
