A jovem Anna construiu o seu próprio reino, onde é ela que dita as regras. No seu mundo impulsivo, ela vive no aqui e agora, navegando por prazeres carnais, mantendo-se com sucesso longe de qualquer coisa que aparente ser dolorosa ou desagradável. Quando tem de acolher a mãe, esquizofrénica, o mundo fantasioso de Anna desintegra-se e ela é forçada a confrontar-se com a mais difícil relação da sua vida.

Anna (28) has built herself her own private kingdom, in which she is the one setting the rules. In her impulsive world, she lives in the here and now, swimming in bodily pleasures, and successfully keeping herself from anything that appears to be painful or unpleasant. When her schizophrenic mother comes back to her life, Anna’s fantasy disintegrates and she is forced to confront with the one true and most difficult relationship of her life.
