Navit is a tomboy and a teenage cattle breeder from a village in the south of Israel. One day she drives together with her father Victor to sell their best cow Cindy to an Arab meat dealer. As the day unfolds, Navit realises that her father might not value her knowledge of cattle breeding as much as she thought he did.

Nota da Realizadora
I grew up in a family of farmers. During the summer vacation, I would lay irrigation tubes in the squash patch and the twigs on the ground would hurt my feet. My legs were always covered with cuts and scratches, not exactly a girly look. As a young girl, I was required to work, get my hands dirty and at the same time, be thin and gentle. This double standard created a conflict within my own femininity. In the movie Navit, the protagonist is required by her father to define her femininity but doesn’t know which womanly version is the right one. The event in the movie is described as routine – a world where cows are sold and slaughtered daily. At the end of this social food chain, almost naturally, the protagonist becomes merchandise as well.
