Director’s Note
Decent People is a self-financed short film. The project marks the directorial debut of Giovanna Nodari and the first co-direction of Silvia Cannarozzi. The duo of authors already has several collaborations and other projects in development. The film was shot in Berlin, together with an international team of professionals from different cultural backgrounds, united by a passion for the project and mutual esteem. There are two languages in the film: English and German. The short is inspired by a scam phone call received from one of the authors and actress, Giovanna Nodari, later fictionalized in sociological criticism. Our intention was to underline the paradoxes of our society by dismantling the concept of moral superiority.
