“Bubota” (Fantasmas) é uma recapitulação da minha própria história, das minhas raízes e lealdades, olhada através de imagens familiares que eu nunca tinha visto. Uma viagem pessoal que começa no dia em que a minha mãe, num comboio, me diz que o meu pai biológico não é aquele que eu sempre pensei ser. O filme é um encontro com esses dois pais, transformados em fantasmas, e a quem eu peço que deixem de me perseguir. ‘Ghosts’ is a review of the director’s personal history, her roots and belonging through familiar images that she has never seen. A personal journey that starts on a train when her mother tells her that her biological father is not the one she has always thought he was. The film is an encounter with the two fathers transformed into ghosts whom she asks to stop pursuing her.
