ANA ISABEL SOARES
Doutorada em Teoria da Literatura (FLUL, 2003) e docente na Universidade do Algarve desde 1996, Ana Isabel Soares é membro do Centro de Investigação em Artes e Comunicação. Publicou ensaios sobre cineastas portuguesas e é investigadora co-responsável do projecto “Speculum – Filmar-se e Ver-se ao Espelho: O uso da escrita de si por documentaristas de língua portuguesa”, financiado pela FCT (EXPL/ART-CRT/0231/2021). Foi a primeira presidente da Associação de Investigadores da Imagem em Movimento (2010-2014).
Ana Isabel Soares holds a PhD in Literature Theory from the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Lisbon (2003) and has been teaching at the Algarve University since 1996. She is a member of the Arts and Communication Research Centre. She published essays on Portuguese filmmakers and is a co-principal investigator of the research project “Speculum – Filming and Looking at Oneself in the Mirror: The use of self-writing by Portuguese-speaking documentary filmmakers”, funded by FCT (EXPL/ART-CRT/0231/2021). She was the first president of the Association of Moving Image Researchers (2010-2014).

LEONARDO ANTÓNIO
Leonardo António começou a trabalhar desde muito cedo em televisão e em cinema. Em 2009 recebeu o prémio do Júri Ekotop pela sua primeira curta-metragem (“Aqua”, 2008). Em 2013 estreou a sua primeira longa-metragem (“O Frágil Som do Meu Motor”) que valeu prémios em categorias técnicas, inclusivamente para Melhor Banda Sonora Original nos prémios Sophia (Rodrigo Leão). Em 2022 estreou a sua segunda longa-metragem, “Submissão” que, entre inúmeras selecções, ganhou dois prémios de Melhor Argumento, um deles em Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. Participou como Jurado nos prémios Sophia Estudante em 2021 e no ÉCU – International Independent Film Festival em 2022.
Leonardo António began working in television and cinema at an early age. In 2009 he was awarded the Ekotop Jury Prize for his first short film (Aqua, 2008). In 2013 he released his first feature film (O Frágil Som Do Meu Motor), which won awards in several technical categories, including Best Original Soundtrack, at the Sophia Awards (Rodrigo Leão). In 2022 he released his second feature film, Submissão, which was selected at numerous festivals and won two Best Screenplay awards, one of them at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. He took part as a juror in the Sophia Student awards in 2021 and the ÉCU – International Independent Film Festival in 2022.

LÍGIA MACIEL FERRAZ
Doutoranda em Media Artes pela Universidade da Beira Interior, mestre em Estudos Comparatistas pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, e investigadora de trabalho doméstico no cinema latino-americano. Co-criadora do perfil “Elas no Cinema em Lisboa”, divulga e escreve sobre filmes realizados por mulheres, exibidos nos festivais de cinema e no circuito comercial da capital portuguesa.
Lígia Maciel Ferraz is a PhD candidate in Media Arts at University Beira Interior, and a researcher in domestic labour in Latin-American cinema. She holds a Master degree in Comparative Studies from the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon. Lígia co-created Elas no Cinema em Lisboa platform where she promotes and writes about films directed by women which are screened at film festivals and in the commercial circuit of Lisbon.
