Todas as manhãs Ileana conduz para a fábrica de cortiça no norte de Portugal, onde trabalhou nos últimos dezassete anos. O filme retrata outra viagem de rotina, entre casa e o trabalho, que partilha com o seu marido e filho. Observando a austera e cíclica rotina da família, Monday transporta para o cotidiano vivido por pessoas reais para explorarem e questionarem o impacto pessoal do trabalho no indivíduo.
Every morning Ileana drives to the cork factory in the north of Portugal where she has worked for the last seventeen years. The film portrays another routine journey she shares with her husband and child from home to work. Observing the austere and cyclical routines of the family, Monday addresses the quotidian as lived by real people to explore and question the inner impact of labour on the individual.
