Ismet é um militar turco, ex-comandante da Guarda Costeira, na reserva. Como civil, luta para comunicar com a família e com as pessoas à sua volta. O seu único filho partiu para os Estados Unidos e a mulher quer ir ter com ele. A chegada súbita de dois refugiados sírios à sua casa, perto da fronteira greco-turca, obriga-o a enfrentar os seus preconceitos e as suas visões políticas.
Ismet is a retired Turkish soldier and a former Commander of the Coast Guard. As a civilian, he struggles to communicate with his family and people around him. His only son left for the USA and his wife wants to join their son too.
