Director’s Note
I grew up with my cousin Raúl, who has Down syndrome. The short film “Demà” reflects my childhood experiences and the lessons learned alongside him. Focusing on the importance of school inclusion, the film aims to provide a genuine glimpse into the lives of children with Down syndrome. The story, born from personal experiences, resonates with countless families who have lived or are living similar lives to the protagonists. The title, which means “tomorrow” in Catalan, expresses my desire to change the future for families like ours. This project is my love letter to my cousin and an opportunity to share our story, promoting understanding and support.
