No dia da Masterclass será também inaugurada a exposição Finding Home e será exibido o fime Paradise Without People (abertura oficial do Festival). On the day of the Masterclass there will also be the opening of the exhibition Finding Home and the screening of the film Paradise Witout People (Festival oficial opening).

No Outono de 2016, a revista TIME seguiu duas refugiadas sírias, Taimaa, de 25 anos e Nour, de 23. Enquanto elas se preparavam para dar à luz e criar filhos longe dos lares de onde tinham fugido, na Síria, a equipa da revista captou desse modo uma viagem íntima à experiência feminina da crise dos refugiados. Através de reportagens, vídeos e fotografias, Lynsey Addario, Aryn Baker e Francesca Trianni cobriram esta história de forma nova e exaltante. Neste Masterclass, elas desmontarão o modo como a equipa da TIME usou as redes sociais, num poderoso e premiado documentário interactivo de longa duração para criar e divulgar histórias aprofundadas em múltiplas plataformas.
In the fall of 2016, TIME magazine followed two Syrian refugees, Taimaa, 25, and Nour, 23, as they prepared to give birth and raise children far from the homes they fled in Syria, capturing an intimate journey into the female experience of the refugee crisis. Through reporting, video and photography, Lynsey Addario, Aryn Baker and Francesca Trianni have covered this story in a new, compelling way. In this class, they’ll deconstruct how the TIME team used social media, an award winning interactive and a powerful feature length documentary to create and disseminate in-depth stories on multiple platforms.

Bio
Francesca Trianni is a staff video producer and director at TIME magazine, where she has worked since 2013. She has contributed to many of TIME’s most ambitious stories, including features for Person of the Year and Time 100. Francesca produced, filmed and reported Finding Home: a year-long multimedia project on the Syrian refugee crisis told through the lives of three babies: Rahaf, Heln, and Faraj. Finding Home won the top prize at the 2018 World Press Photo contest for Innovative Storytelling. The project has also received a National Murrow Award and an Emmy nomination. A native Italian speaker, Francesca graduated with honors from the Columbia Journalism School in New York.
