DIGITAL STORYTELLING

In the fall of 2016, TIME magazine followed two Syrian refugees, Taimaa, 25, and Nour, 23, as they prepared to give birth and raise children far from the homes they fled in Syria, capturing an intimate journey into the female experience of the refugee crisis. Through reporting, video and photography, Lynsey Addario, Aryn Baker and Francesca Trianni have covered this story in a new, compelling way. In this class, they’ll deconstruct how the TIME team used social media, an award winning interactive and a powerful feature length documentary to create and disseminate in-depth stories on multiple platforms.
