The grieving process of a daughter who lost her mother. A three year journey captured as a weaving of two parallel paths: the mother’s journey to the afterlife, and the grieving process of her child. While the former goes through her transition, the latter is personally and emotionally transformed forever.

Director’s Note
Nothing can express how one feels in dealing with the death of their mother. Grief is a dream-like state, fluctuating between existing and dissolving. There is no logic. It is a dark journey of circular emotions and tears become the gateway to temporal relief. Baptised in these tears and purified. Water is inside the body and the body is surrounded by it. It is the source of life that symbolises circulation, transition and metamorphosis. As the water’s flow is unpredictable, so is a personal journey of grief. This film is an internal exploration and a way to externalise this experience. It is a therapeutic pathway to express the grieving process of my mother’s loss and create a continuity of her eternal existence within me. She was my bravest warrior and I will always carry her with me.
