Com a sua câmara, Abu Turk foi um dos poucos a documentar em primeira mão os acontecimentos na cidade de Jerusalém e na Cisjordânia desde a primeira Intifada, em 1987, até ao final dos anos 90, colocando o seu corpo na linha da frente. 
A short documentary about the photojournalist Mahfouz Abu Turk, his memories and his archives. With his camera, Abu Turk was one of the few to document first-hand the events in the city of Jerusalem and the West Bank from the first Intifada in 1987 until the end of the nineties, putting his body on the frontline.

A câmara torna-se o instrumento que partilham para se compreenderem e se conhecerem, talvez para se apaixonarem. Confrontados com o absurdo do processo de asilo de Hazem, embarcam no exílio, uma jornada interior para chegar a um lugar onde o acto de olhar pode ser mais doce e mais justo.
Hazem arrives in Belgium after a painful journey from Gaza. Elettra is there to study documentary filmmaking. The camera becomes the tool they share to understand and get to  know each other, perhaps fall in love. Confronted by the absurdity of Hazem’s asylum procedure, they embark on an exile, an inner migration to reach a place where gazes are softer and more just.

The author of the film takes her father on a trip down memory lane in which she revives scenes from their country of birth, former Yugoslavia. Memories are reflected in cinematic decor sets in which they converse about nationality, identity, love, dreams and regrets.

Durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial, foi criado o campo de refugiados de El Shatt no deserto do Sinai, no Egipto, para receber famílias europeias deslocadas. Utilizando materiais de arquivos croatas e internacionais entrelaçados com imagens actuais deste não-lugar deserto, o filme tenta reconstruir uma lembrança fragmentada de uma história de migração no Mediterrâneo desconhecida.
During World War II, the El Shat refugee camp was set up in the Sinai desert in Egypt to accommodate European displaced families. Using materials from Croatian and international archives interwoven with current images of this abandoned place, the film attempts to reconstruct the fragmented memory of the unknown history of migration in the Mediterranean.

On a full moon night, young Najwa and musician Mansour reach Beirut. They follow the trail of smugglers to join a woman on the other side of the sea. A few streets away, Selim, the old lighthouse keeper, tries to restore electricity to his neighbourhood.

Ihsane, Assia, Mounia, Nuhaila e Hamza atravessaram a fronteira de Melilla quando eram menores e vivem em diversos centros de acolhimento. Conhecem-se na companhia de dança NANA, onde encontram uma nova família e têm a oportunidade de participar num programa de talentos da televisão. A fama fugaz oferece-lhes um escape, mas quando as luzes da ribalta se apagam, devem regressar a Melilla, enfrentando novamente sozinhos a idade adulta e os desafios da emigração.
Ihsane, Assia, Mounia, Nuhaila and Hamza crossed the Melilla border as minors and are hosted in different reception centres. They meet at the NANA dance company where they find a new family and get  a chance to join a TV talent show. Their fleeting fame offers them an escape but when the spotlight fades, they return to Melilla, once again facing adulthood and the challenges of emigration alone.

Este filme reconstrói um fragmento de memória colectiva do “Massacre de 53″, a partir de uma conversa entre um Curandeiro e um Morto, apanhado numa rusga para depois ser torturado e deitado ao mar.
In February 1953, the Portuguese colonial police forces massacred the population in the interior of São Tomé and Príncipe, causing an undetermined number of deaths. This film reconstructs a fragment of the collective memory of the “Massacre of 53″, based on a conversation between a Healer and a Dead Man, captured in a raid just to be tortured and thrown into the sea.

“O sol a pôr-se atrás do oceano assombrava-me e continuei a procurá-lo em Tânger. Sentia-me estrangeira numa cidade com um passado colonial diferente. Entre o meu ser e as paisagens fragmentadas, surgiu um filme. Um relato de viagem sobre a perda e a cura. “Visions of a Dreamt Sunset” junta imagens de paisagens e arquivos, cartazes de filmes americanos dos anos 50, mãos a agarrar películas, sons do oceano que encontram a minha voz.” 
The sun setting behind the ocean haunted me and I kept looking for it in Tangier. I felt foreign in a city with a different colonial past. Between fragmented selves and landscapes, a film emerged. A travelogue on loss and healing. Visions of a Dreamt Sunset brings together images of landscapes and archives, 1950s American film posters, hands grasping film, sounds of the ocean meeting my voice.

Inicialmente desconfiadas uma da outra, descobrem gradualmente um fio condutor que as une, que remonta ao tempo em que a Rota da Seda ligava Lyon aos seus países de origem.
Asma and Sarah, two women originally from the Levant, work in the same restaurant in the centre of Lyon. Both carry the weight of the home they were forced to leave behind. Initially wary of each other, they gradually discover a common thread that connects them, one that dates back to when the Silk Road connected Lyon to their home countries.
